What people are saying
I’ve trained with Holly Adams for nearly twenty years—starting when I was a child—through Meisner group classes, workshops, and private coaching, and her teaching has had a profound influence on my growth as an actor. What makes her exceptional is her ability to pinpoint exactly what isn’t working in a scene and then guide you—clearly and specifically—toward something truthful. Rather than encouraging actors to portray emotion, she creates the necessary circumstances so the emotion naturally emerges. Through her Meisner-based work, I learned how to truly listen and respond to my scene partners, which brought real variety, presence, and authenticity into my performances. Whenever she works with me on a scene or monologue, I stop “acting” and begin fully embodying the character. I hold a BFA in Acting, have extensive theatre experience, and now work professionally in film in Los Angeles—and I can honestly say her guidance continues to shape the way I approach my work. Holly is an incredible teacher for actors of any age, and I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone serious about truthful, grounded performance.
